World leaders have intensified diplomatic efforts to revive the two-state solution, with France and Saudi Arabia spearheading a high-level UN conference in July 2025 that resulted in the adoption of the "New York Declaration." The UN General Assembly subsequently voted 142–10 to back the declaration, which outlines tangible steps toward establishing a sovereign Palestinian state alongside Israel.

In September 2025, a wave of nations formally recognized the State of Palestine, including France, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Belgium, and Luxembourg. UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned that without urgent action, the conflict risks devolving into a one-state reality of perpetual occupation, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the United States rejected the moves, labeling recognition a "reward for terror" and boycotting the UN summit.

As of late 2026, despite these diplomatic milestones, progress remains stalled. Canada, the UK, and the EU continue to advocate for the two-state framework in 2026, but observers note that settlement expansion in the West Bank and the lack of a clear political roadmap have hindered on-the-ground implementation.

Pray that God will soften the hearts of those who have been blinded and indoctrinated by hate and bring true and lasting peace between these people, because only He can.
